Exploring the Reasons Behind My Disinterest in Rituals

So this one came to me last night, why do I have an aversion to rituals and following them. Whether it is a ritual to drag your crystals outside under the moonlight to even drinking only coffee each morning ( well I kinda miss that one lol) Really think about the whole moon thing you think that huge thing up there can't penetrate through your roof to charge those crystals up?

So in the spiritual realm of waking up I found myself reading every single book on anything and everything spiritual. I wanted to learn everything from crystals to astral projection. With an open mind I took in everything and then formulated my own thoughts and listened to what resonated with my intuition.

There was that nagging feeling of why do we have to follow someone's ritual for it to be correct. There is this feeling that is should be a suggestion, not more of a you have to do it this way attitude. I do get that consistency is important and that is a positive I can pull out of ritual.

To me this feels so close minded and almost like a mini brainwash. Why as humans are we taught to be followers, but why when we could all be leaders together and collab.

One thing I loved is that a mentor of mine always said we are always equals there is no such thing as a guru being more powerful or more spiritual then someone just learning.

Yes of course a guru can share knowledge and wisdom from experience, but really that's all it is. So where did this Saturn energy of we must do rituals in this way for it be correct come from?

I have a sneaking suspicion that ritual was born from control, which makes so much sense why I run the opposite direction.

as control has its place, and it is an energy I do not follow very well. So it is important that we can tell the difference between this sharing wisdom and controlling information. There is a sacred energy within this wisdom, and I feel as it should be shared in a way that leaves the person able to formulate their own thoughts and experience from it. Like for example if I was to ask you rather then tell you, there is a different energy in that. This is why when people come into the store looking for me to direct them to a stone that can help them, I usually turn it around and ask them " What stone are you drawn to" letting them choose to use their intuition rather then me using mine. In most cases the same stone would have been chosen either way or the same intention would have been placed in the stone for healing. I find when the customer chooses to use their intuition it is more powerful with their intentions in place.

Ask yourself does that feel right to not follow my intuition and follow someone else's ritual? Is our brain programed from childhood to follow ritual as sort of addiction? I have so many questions but take some time today yourself to ask where you are having aversions and why? What rituals are you doing and why? This will be a good journal prompt to recognize things about yourself and maybe patterns and rituals you follow that are maybe outdated in your life.
